21st Century Herbs & Health is a newly founded company aiming to provide medical services
related to traditional herbs. The founder of the company, Dr. Liu, has been working on herbs for
more than 20 years. She is not only knowledgeable on traditional Chinese medicines (TCM), but
also modern chemistry, biology, and pharmacology. Dr. Liu has experiences in both scientific
research and product development of herbal medicines, and has published more than 25 papers
about herbal medicines in different international journals. In addition, Dr. Liu has been teaching
Western Pharmacology, Western Nutrition, Natural Product Chemistry, Herbal Medicine, and TCM
Nutrition & Therapeutic Diet in China and USA.

Most of the traditional herbs have been clinically used over hundreds or even thousands of years.
Many of their functions have been confirmed with modern researches in the past decades. More and
more people are seeking natural therapy including herbal medicines because of the side effects of
Western medicines. However, it needs knowledge to develop reliable products with both efficacy
and safety. The task of the company is to develop effective and safe herbal products to prevent or
fight diseases and provide consulting services related to herbs and herbal products. The affiliated
clinic of Acupuncture & Herbs provides not only treatment for patients, but also clinical trial for
the potential products.
